The Great Creeper Escape
Video game
The Great Creeper Escape is a free, NAPLAN-aligned video game writing resource for Australian primary students. It includes a story starter, complication, tiered vocabulary and scaffolds mapped to the Australian Curriculum (AC9).
Steve and Alex had been exploring the Overworld for hours, mining deep caves and collecting rare loot. But as the sun dipped below the horizon, the familiar sound of hissing filled the air. Creepers. Not one, not two—but an entire swarm closing in from both sides! With no time to build shelter, they ran, their feet splashing through the water. But the island they reached was too small. They were trapped.
The complication
- One of them dropped their only weapon in the water!
- The creepers aren’t alone—zombies are approaching from the trees.
- The only way to escape is to craft a boat—but they need supplies.
