Under the glow of lanterns and drifting cherry blossoms, the golden serpent coiled proudly in the heart of the Lunar Festival. It was said that every twelve years, the Spirit of the Snake returned to bestow wisdom, luck, and a single magical gift to the one who proved worthy. As the festival music echoed in the night air, a young child stepped forward, heart pounding, to face the shimmering serpent. “You have come seeking the gift,” the serpent said, its golden scales gleaming. “But only those who truly understand the spirit of the snake may receive it.”
The complication
- The child must complete three challenges to earn the serpent’s gift.
- The gift is powerful—but using it unwisely could bring misfortune.
