I stood at the entrance of the ancient forge, the cold stone under my boots as heavy as the weight of time itself. The flickering torchlight danced off the stone walls, casting long shadows that seemed to stretch forever. My sword was still in my hands, though I hadn't used it in years. The battle had long passed, but my duty hadn't. I was the last one left. The last of my order. The last guardian of the forge, where the greatest weapons of our time had once been forged. And now, it was up to me to defend it, or destroy it, if the darkness returned.

The complication

  1. The darkness begins to seep back into the forge, bringing with it strange metal creatures that reform anything they touch, forcing me to decide whether to fight them or destroy the forge to stop their spread.
  2. A survivor from a rival order appears claiming the forge holds a secret map to a hidden weapon, and I must choose whether to trust them or protect the secret alone.
  3. The torchlight reveals a hidden mechanism that, if activated, could either restore the forge’s power or collapse the whole chamber, leaving me to race against time while the darkness closes in.
