The complication
- The dragon refuses to fight fairly and uses magic illusions to confuse Sir Cedric, making the cavern seem to shift and hiding the true location of the treasure.
- A hidden guardian or rival knight emerges from the pile of gold, claiming the hoard and forcing Cedric to choose between fighting or protecting an innocent trapped among the jewels.
- The cavern begins to collapse after the dragon’s roar cracks ancient stone, trapping Cedric and the dragon together and forcing them to cooperate to escape.
