Deep within the molten caves of Ashen Hollow, the great dragon Vorthar lay curled upon a bed of burning stone. His obsidian scales shimmered in the firelight, and rivers of lava twisted like glowing veins beneath his massive wings. Few had dared to enter his domain, and even fewer had lived to tell the tale. But today, someone was coming. Someone who held the key to the one thing Vorthar had sworn to protect for a thousand years.

The complication

  1. As the intruder steps into the cave, Vorthar awakens with a roar, causing the ground to tremble and threatening to unleash his fiery wrath.
  2. The key that the intruder possesses begins to glow ominously, revealing that it is linked to an ancient curse that could awaken other dragons from their slumber.
  3. A rival dragon, sensing Vorthar's vulnerability, emerges from the shadows to challenge him for dominance over Ashen Hollow.
