I couldn't believe my eyes. The moment I opened the pocket watch, a soft hum filled the air, and a swirl of glowing blue light began to swirl around my hands. I felt a tug, as if the world was pulling me somewhere—somewhen—else. The dusty old attic, the smell of forgotten books, and the silence of the house all seemed to fade into the background as the watch started glowing brighter. What was happening? Where was this watch taking me?
The complication
- The glowing light from the watch pulls the girl into a different time period. Will she be able to find her way back to the present, or will she be stuck in time forever?
- The people in the new time she finds herself in don't understand her. How will she communicate, and can she trust anyone?
- The pocket watch begins to malfunction, and the girl is thrown to different moments in time without warning. How will she figure out how to control it before she’s lost for good?
