Deep in the enchanted forest, by a sparkling blue lake, sat a little dragon named Sparky. His scales shimmered in shades of purple and blue, and his big eyes twinkled with excitement. Unlike other dragons, Sparky didn’t like to roar or scare people, he just wanted to make friends! But there was one problem… the villagers were afraid of dragons. Sparky had an idea to change their minds, but would it work?

The complication

  1. Sparky decides to create a spectacular display of firework-like sparks to impress the villagers, but accidentally sets a small part of the forest on fire.
  2. When Sparky approaches the village to show his friendly intentions, he accidentally frightens a group of children who run away screaming.
  3. A grumpy old wizard who lives nearby sees Sparky trying to befriend the villagers and casts a spell that makes him invisible, complicating his attempts to communicate.

Sentence starters

  1. Meanwhile, Sparky took a deep breath and prepared for his big moment.
  2. With a flick of his tail and a sparkle in his eyes, he soared into the sky.
